ABOUT TESTING

DO I REALLY NEED TO GET TESTED?
Sabre Sciences’ lab is able to easily test saliva, with a test called Endo-Screen, to determine if your hormones are out of balance. A total of 15 different elements are tested and the results may be important information for you and/or your doctor to know so that a corrective protocol can be implemented.

WHAT’S TESTED AND HOW EASY IS IT?
This comprehensive test is non-invasive and is performed in the comfort of your own home. Saliva is collected by chewing on a cotton-like swab at specific times during a 24-hour period. The samples are then sent using the enclosed return shipper to the lab. The results will be sent to you within 7 to 10 working days from the date the sample is received by the lab. It is very simple and easy and provides a baseline from which a natural customized hormonal support crème can be developed. Testing also provides valuable information that can help determine the cause of your symptoms.

WHY SALIVA?
Saliva collection is considered a better indicator of biologically active hormone levels than blood—more accurately reflecting the body’s functional hormone status. Saliva collection is also simple and noninvasive. The hormones are stable at room temperature for 5 days and require no special handling for shipment. Saliva testing measures the levels of circulating (free) hormones available to be utilized by body tissues.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
It’s impossible to give a simple explanation as to what your results mean. The EndoScreen is a very powerful tool and will help you to achieve whatever health goal you wish, as long as it’s used properly. Unlike most traditional blood tests, it is not a matter of interpreting the result as to whether it’s within normal ranges. Hormones work in equilibrium with one another. Understanding salivary hormones requires an understanding of the inter-relationships between the stress and sex hormones. The EndoScreen will be reviewed by a health care professional that has been trained specifically in the interpretation of salivary hormones.

Who Should Be Tested?
  • Those concerned about decreasing hormone levels.
  • Those wishing to monitor their hormone levels following a testosterone replacement protocol (oral, sublingual or topical), and subsequently regulate their levels.

MALE TESTING: 24-hour panel. Tests: Estradiol /Progesterone / Testosterone / Cortisol / DHEA-S / Sodium / Potassium / Chloride

The key to natural hormonal balance is determining the proper sequence of protocols. To accomplish this, the patient has to be approached as an individual. Once the dynamics of these hormones are analyzed (The Male Comprehensive Panel/Test), a specific plan can be developed to re-establish the healthy balance of hormones. Our research has shown that to cause a positive hormonal change you must normalize adrenal activity first. It’s the mainspring in the hormonal mechanism.

When the adrenals dysfunction, all other associated systems will as well. The symptoms associated with adrenal dysfunction are diverse and can involve the digestive, circulatory, respiratory, as well as the brain and nervous systems.

The Male Comprehensive Hormone Panel examines 1 sample for progesterone and estradiol, 6 samples for cortisol, 4 samples for testosterone (diurnal fluctuations are closely analyzed), 3 samples for DHEA-S, and 1 sample for the electrolytes sodium, potassium and chloride.
